Ram Iyer is a native of Chennai, India.
He is an Industrial Pharmacist by profession and has been running his own consultancy business for the Pharmaceutical Industry, for over three decades.
Through his relentless quest for finding the true source of strength and happiness in his life, he eventually understood that the source of these lies within every single human being.
And as a natural extension of his pursuit towards his inner source of wisdom, he wanted to share his life’s experiences with those who are interested in knowing more about their own life and the vagaries of their mind.
In line with that, he crafted and published his maiden book titled 'Beyond the hues and shades,' during the colourful & warm autumn of 2026, and also converted his erstwhile initiative 'The Lighting Lamps' into a publishing house, thus giving an added perspective to the initiative.
Lighting Lamps Publications will serve primarily as a launchpad, to bring the thoughtfully created books of Ram Iyer into the hands of earnest readers, besides serving as a platform for showcasing similar path-illuminating books of other beautiful souls.

We feel so proud in considering the human race as the most advanced species on this planet earth and yet when it comes to the simple act of peaceful & harmonious existence, we haven’t yet learnt the least of how to co-exist without brutally competing with or harming our fellow humans!
If a child is not taught about human values and virtues, whatever worldly education we inculcate in the child, though might help the child to earn money, it will neither help the child to live a truly happy & satisfying life nor those around the child! This is the primary duty of every parent, no matter however busy they are, due to their financial status.
How does anyone get qualified to guide others in any activity? For e.g., If a person has to teach swimming, the simple qualification that he needs, is to know how to swim in all currents of water. Period. He doesn’t have to be famous, he doesn’t have to be a movie star, etc., etc.
